Alejandro Albertti alias “Guri” (Montevideo, 1977), cursó la carrera de Arquitectura en la Universidad de la Uruguay y la carrera de diseño de interiores en Seguidiseg. Creador audiovisual, diseñador gráfico y web ha creado campañas integrales para diversos eventos en Uruguay. Del 2007 al 2009 ejerció como coordinador general de proyectos en el Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales de Montevideo. Además ha Participado en más de 20 muestras colectivas de Arte en Uruguay, Argentina, Chile y España. Actualmente continúa trabajando como diseñador freelance y desarrollando su obra personal.

I’ve definitely become an unconditional fan of Emilie Record. An artist born in France in 1980 who followed art classes (drawing, watercolor, oil painting, acrylic, sculpture) from 1986 to 1997.
She started to exhibit her work in France at age of 10. During this time she developed an accurate eye on shapes, lines, volumes and people, pulling her to become a designer.

She becomes an architect awarded by the French government in 2004. Strong of abilities to foresee tendencies and materials and attracted by cultural mixtures, she is joining the Chinese master Bing Thom in Vancouver (Canada) working on Arena Stage Theatre (Washington DC) and TTC University (Fort Worth, Texas). She gets hired later by the French AS Shanghai (Strasbourg Parliament, Paris Oriental World Institute IMA) and Philip Johnson where she won urban competitions in Asia. She then continued to work closer on Interior design projects and graphics, producing and developing powerful artistic concepts through sustainable approaches.

She now fully focuses on illustrations, paintings and graphic design.

Coming from her feelings, what she draws and paints is exhaling the strongest emotions and the most beautiful poses human are able to create. She’s just released a new series at nuzart.com: T World

En el arte como en la moda, se reinventan los estilos, se crean reediciones de los diseños más conocidos y se reinterpretan a artistas del pasado. Todo se va para volver con aires nuevos, unos aires que que soplan a criterio de los nuevos artistas con una marcada influencia que se inspira mirando hacia atrás. Pedro Susial, artista digital y publicista retirado, reinterpreta el cubismo que tantas veces hemos visto en los cuadros de Picasso. Su obra Joven con sombrero, recupera las formas cubistas creando un mosaico de colores vivos y planos, para encerrar el rostro de una mujer marcado por líneas rectas a excepción de los labios, los ojos y el sombrero. Es aquí donde Susial propone su seña de identidad con un nuevo cubismo digital propio del siglo XXI.

In art, as it is in fashion, the styles are reinvented creating new editions of the most popular designs and reinterpreting artists of the past. Everything goes and comes back with new airs; airs that blow at the discretion of new artists with a strong influence that is inspired by looking back. Pedro Susial is a digital artist and a retired publicist who reinterprets the Cubism that many times we have seen in the paintings of Picasso. His “Joven con sombrero“, retrieves the cubist forms creating a mosaic of vibrant and “flat”colors, to enclose the face of a woman marked by straight lines with the exception of the lips, the eyes and the hat. It is here where Pedro Susial proposes his trademark with a new digital cubism which is very appropriate for the XXI century: today.

Isabel Nadal nace en Almería. Trabaja desde 1992 realizando ilustraciones para cuentos y el desarrollo visual -concept art- de películas de dibujos animados. Su particular estilo está caracterizado por formas simples y sencillas llenas de fantasía y humor, aderezada con personajes entrañables cuyo rastro coloreado de virtudes y defectos los hace muy humanos.

Sus diseños han servido para ilustrar anuncios, vayas publicitarias, folletos, guías y catálogos comerciales de conocidas empresas como GSK-Glaxo Smith Kline, El Corte Inglés, AECC-Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer, WWF Adena, Walt Disney Company o el Grupo Editorial Everest, entre otros.

No need to dive into the sea or travel to the Perito Moreno, to enjoy this season’s trendy and vibrant color.  Interior designers, architects and artists, dye their artworks and projects with this turquoise, ultramarine blue, or “Deep Ocean Blue” -as the majority prefers to define it-. Just to start, the name is appealing in itself, but if we stop and gaze at it for long enough, our senses will go far beyond our imagination. Emilie’s figures are revealing her concern for body in this urban world, now: as an envelope carrying a soul. Perpetually evolving. She is working on representing an area that is messed up in between truth and lies. What you see is only what you want to look at. In between shadow and neon light, there is this in between unreachable that doesn’t even belong to anything known: Superfluity and pure holiness. 

Hang me up is about love.

We talk about love, we learn how to love. The very first moment of our embryonic life is about love. Trophy women. It is not about women. It is about how much we care. Affection is all we need. Time is all there is. Buried somewhere under our principles of freedom and individuality, there is a ruthless hunt for affection. I hang you up, and you’ll be mine forever. Passion, emotional closeness, desire, uniqueness, attachment as the most common and profoundly human needs. Love at it’s most superficial is a religion that kills loneliness. Hearts in bodies. You can get as many as you want, if you want.

Yet you will never get another soul for yourself.

Músico a rayas

Martín Elfman (Buenos Aires, 1976), posee una serie de ilustraciones fabulosas. Nos encanta sobretodo por su calidad artística, su esencia retro y por la intensidad controlada de sus colores. Es uno de esos artistas cuya vida está repleta de experiencias con un marcado carácter aventurero. Ha vivido en Israel, Barcelona, Lisboa, Venecia y Nápoles. Comienzó a trabajar como caricaturista callejero en Londres en el verano de 1999 y continuó desarrollado esta actividad por ciudades de toda Europa. A partir de septiembre de 2006 se instala definitivamente en Barcelona y comienza a colaborar como ilustrador y caricaturista en periódicos  como El País y El Periódico de Cataluña y en las revistas Benzina, Quimera, Minerva, Barceloner, El Malpensante, Punto y Seguido.

Argentine illustrator Martín Elfman (Buenos Aires, 1976), featured artist  in our gallery, has a range of fabulous prints. We love their retro quality and whimsical bright colours. He is one of those artists whose life is full of experiences with a distinctly adventurous spirit. He’s lived in Israel, Barcelona, Lisbon, Venice and Naples. He started as a cartoonist in the streets of London in 1999. Since then, he’s been painting in cities across Europe and with his return back to Barcelona in September 2006, he began to work as an illustrator and cartoonist for newspapers such as El Pais or El Periodico de Catalunya and the magazines Benzina, Quimera, Minerva, Barceloner, El Malpensante y Punto y Seguido.

Guzk es el apodo artístico de Eguzkiñe (Guipuzcoa- España). Su espíritu inquieto e incorformista la ha llevado a probar y a experimentar con muchas de las facetas que giran en torno al mundo de las Artes Gráficas, aunque su verdadera pasión radica en la pintura y la ilustración tradicional con ciertos guiños al Photoshop.

Su obra captura sensaciones que son traducidas y reexpresadas a través del color, el contraste, las líneas y las formas orgánicas provenientes del gesto espontáneo y la comunicación no verbal. Le gusta representar personajes femeninos cuyas emociones se descifran a través de los ojos de sus figuras, aportando mucha fuerza y vitalidad. Así mismo incorpora en sus ilustraciones elementos  propios del diseño gráfico (texturas, motivos, tipografía, etc.), convirtiendo cada uno de sus dibujos en originales mezclas de fusión artística.

Guzk is the pseudonym of artist Eguzkiñe form Guipuzcoa, Spain. Her non-conformity and her restless spirit have led her to try and experiment with the many differents aspects which surround the world of Graphic Arts and Design, eventhough her true passion lies in painting and traditional illustration with bold nods to Photoshop.

Her work captures feelings that are translated into color, contrast, lines and organic forms that arise from the spontaneous gesture and nonverbal communication. She likes to represent female characters whose emotions are decoded through the eyes, providing great strength and vitality. Guzk also incorporates typical elements of graphic design into her illustrations (textures, motifs, typeface, etc..), converting each of the drawings into an original mix of artistic fusion.

Josh Jenkins alias joshjenk  es un joven artista neoyorquino, con una amplia experiencia en diseño gráfico, ilustración y fotografía, cuya vida ha estado siempre vinculada al arte. Creció en Nueva York y posteriormente se trasladó a Kentucky para realizar sus estudios secundarios. Y es con 19 años cuando finalmente regresa a Nueva York para matricularse en la Licenciatura de Arte y Medios Digitales de la Universidad Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY), y llevar a cabo su gran sueño: poder vivir y ganarse la vida haciendo lo que realmente le apasiona. Durante los últimos 5 años ha trabajado en numerosos proyectos  y ha expuesto sus obras en diversos lugares como el Hudson Valley de NY y en Philadelphia, PA. Su Galería de obras expuesta en nuzart.com está compuesta por dibujos abstractos, esencialmente expresionistas, tratados con técnicas mixtas digitales.

Josh Jenkins aka joshjenk is a young, skilled and experienced web & graphic designer, illustrator, painter and photographer who has been practicing art his entire life. Raised in New York during his childhood, he moved to Kentucky during high school, and by the age of nineteen, he returned back to New York so that he could attend college and pursue his life long dreams:  to make a life long living out of one of his greatest passions. This current year he will have a BS in Digital Media with a Studio Art Minor from Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY). For over the past 5 years, he has been working on a wide range of projects, and has shown his paintings around the Hudson Valley, NY and in Philadelphia, PA. Ciudades en el cielo es una de las series de Annaka, fotógrafa y creadora digital que pertenece a la clase de artistas inconformistas autodidactas y autogestionaria con gran futuro en el espacio del arte contemporáneo. Concibe la creación artistica como un espacio de expresión personal y como una vivencia individual. Ciudades en el cielo  is the name of a series of artworks created by artist Annaka, a photographer and digital creator who belongs to that class of non-conformist artists, self-taught and self-managed with a great future in the field of contemporary art. She conceives artistic creation as a space for personal expression, as well as an individual experience. In fact, for her, the computer and the graphic palette are the tools with which to create, and the digital camera is her documentary source.  Annaka’s eyes are able to transform something as cold as the technology into art… You can call it surrealism, cubism or postmodern digital art.
